Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

Welcome to HexCoda. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of HexCoda.com and your purchase, download, licensing, activation, updating, and use of our WordPress plugins, WooCommerce extensions, digital products, documentation, and related resources.

By accessing this website, creating an account, placing an order, downloading a product, activating a license key, or using a HexCoda product, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Company Information

HexCoda is operated by HEXPRO MEDIA SRL. Within these Terms, the names HexCoda, we, us, and our refer to HEXPRO MEDIA SRL. The terms user, customer, you, and your refer to any person or legal entity accessing the website, purchasing a product, creating an account, or using a HexCoda product.

2. Products and Digital Delivery

HexCoda sells and distributes digital products, including WordPress plugins, WooCommerce extensions, downloadable software packages, templates, documentation, configuration files, and related digital resources.

All products are delivered electronically. No physical item will be shipped unless a product page expressly states otherwise.

After a successful order, you may receive access to:

  • Downloadable plugin ZIP files
  • License keys, where applicable
  • Order confirmation emails
  • Downloads available through your customer account
  • Product documentation and support resources

You are responsible for providing a valid email address, maintaining access to your customer account, downloading your purchased files, and safely storing backup copies while access remains available through your account or license entitlement.

HexCoda may update, replace, or discontinue a download package when required for security, compatibility, legal, or product-development reasons.

3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

Product prices are displayed on the relevant product pages and during checkout. HexCoda may change product prices, promotional offers, license options, or included benefits at any time. However, such changes will not affect orders that customers have already completed.

Where applicable, taxes such as value-added tax may be calculated, collected, or handled according to the customer’s billing location, tax status, applicable tax rules, and the information provided during checkout.

Payments are processed through the payment methods displayed at checkout. An order is considered accepted after the payment has been successfully completed and digital access has been provided.

You must provide complete and accurate billing, account, and payment information. HexCoda is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect email addresses, incomplete billing information, payment-provider restrictions, or account-access problems outside our control.

HexCoda may cancel, refuse, temporarily hold, or manually review an order where there is reasonable suspicion of:

  • Fraud or unauthorized payment activity
  • Payment errors or chargeback abuse
  • Incorrect or misleading customer information
  • License misuse or unauthorized redistribution
  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions

4. Licenses and Usage Rights

HexCoda products are licensed for use. Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, branding, documentation, graphics, commercial assets, or other intellectual property associated with that product.

Where a product includes a commercial license, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the product according to:

  • The license terms displayed on the product page
  • The website activation limit selected at purchase
  • The update and support benefits attached to the license
  • Any product-specific documentation or restrictions
  • These Terms and Conditions

A license may be valid for one website, multiple websites, unlimited websites, or another activation limit clearly stated before purchase.

Unless the product page expressly permits it, you must not:

  • Share private download links
  • Publicly distribute paid plugin ZIP files
  • Sell, sublicense, transfer, lease, or redistribute license keys
  • Use one license on more websites than the purchased activation limit allows
  • Provide paid HexCoda products through download clubs, file-sharing websites, repositories, or similar services
  • Attempt to bypass activation, entitlement, download, support, or update checks
  • Represent a HexCoda product as software created or owned by another party

Unauthorized redistribution, license sharing, or activation abuse may result in the suspension or termination of downloads, license access, automatic updates, account access, and support.

5. License Keys and Activations

Some HexCoda products may require a license key to activate automatic updates, verify purchase entitlement, access protected downloads, or receive technical support.

You are responsible for protecting your license keys and managing your website activations. You must not publish, share, sell, or expose a license key to unauthorized third parties.

Where supported, you may manage or deactivate an activation:

  • From your HexCoda customer account
  • From the relevant plugin interface
  • By contacting HexCoda support

If you move a website to another domain, rebuild an installation, migrate between staging and production environments, or replace an existing website, you may need to deactivate the previous installation before activating the license on the replacement site.

Certain staging, development, or local environments may not count toward the activation limit where HexCoda has implemented an applicable exemption. Such exemptions are not guaranteed for every hosting configuration or domain structure.

HexCoda may deactivate or restrict license keys associated with fraud, chargebacks, unauthorized redistribution, excessive activation attempts, security threats, or violations of these Terms.

6. Updates

Paid licenses may include access to product updates for the period stated on the relevant product page, license selection, order summary, or checkout page.

Product updates may include:

  • Bug fixes
  • Security improvements
  • WordPress or WooCommerce compatibility updates
  • Performance improvements
  • User-interface refinements
  • New, revised, or removed features
  • Documentation changes

HexCoda does not guarantee a fixed update schedule, a specific number of updates, or permanent compatibility with every theme, plugin, hosting provider, browser, server configuration, WordPress version, WooCommerce version, or third-party service.

WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting platforms, payment services, browsers, and third-party plugins may introduce changes that affect compatibility. HexCoda may need reasonable time to investigate and respond to such changes.

If an update entitlement expires, the installed product may continue to function. However, access to future updates, automatic updates, new package downloads, compatibility releases, and certain support benefits may end unless the license is renewed or the product is repurchased.

7. Support

Unless the relevant product page, checkout information, or purchase agreement states otherwise, each eligible paid HexCoda product purchase includes 12 months of technical support beginning on the purchase date.

The support entitlement applies separately to:

  • The customer account associated with the order
  • The specific product purchased
  • The license issued for that purchase
  • The number of websites permitted by the purchased license

Purchasing one HexCoda product does not provide support for other products purchased separately. When several products are purchased on different dates, each product has its own 12-month support period based on its individual purchase date.

Product support may include assistance with:

  • Plugin installation
  • Basic product configuration
  • License activation and deactivation
  • Automatic update or entitlement issues
  • Confirmed product bugs
  • Product behavior that differs from the published documentation
  • Clarification of documented features
  • Shortcode, block, widget, or supported page-builder usage
  • Compatibility questions within supported WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, and browser environments
  • Common conflicts involving a HexCoda product, theme, plugin, cache, or security configuration

Where appropriate, HexCoda may provide troubleshooting instructions, configuration guidance, a workaround, a product update, a patch, or clarification regarding supported behavior.

Unless separately agreed in writing, standard product support does not include:

  • Custom plugin development
  • Custom feature implementation
  • Custom source-code modifications
  • Complete website troubleshooting
  • Theme design or redesign
  • Website development or migration
  • Server administration
  • Hosting configuration unrelated to the HexCoda product
  • Database repair
  • Store management or content entry
  • General WordPress or WooCommerce training
  • Malware removal
  • Debugging unrelated third-party plugins, themes, services, or custom code
  • Repairing websites damaged by unauthorized modifications or missing backups

HexCoda cannot guarantee compatibility with every theme, plugin, hosting provider, server configuration, page builder, caching system, security service, or custom integration. HexCoda may identify a third-party conflict and explain the likely cause without modifying or repairing the third-party product.

To investigate a reported issue, HexCoda may request relevant technical information, including:

  • The customer name and order number
  • The purchased product and license information
  • The installed HexCoda product version
  • The WordPress, WooCommerce, and PHP versions
  • The active theme and relevant plugin list
  • The website URL, where appropriate
  • Screenshots or screen recordings
  • Error logs or browser console information
  • Clear steps required to reproduce the issue
  • Access to a temporary staging environment, where reasonably necessary

You remain responsible for protecting passwords, personal data, customer records, payment information, license keys, and production website access. You should not send permanent administrator credentials or confidential data through unsecured channels.

HexCoda aims to respond within a reasonable business timeframe. Response and resolution times may vary depending on the complexity of the issue, the information provided, the need for testing, support volume, weekends, public holidays, and third-party involvement. HexCoda does not provide guaranteed immediate, same-day, or continuous 24-hour support unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

After the 12-month support period expires, technical support for that purchase may end. The installed product may continue to function according to its license terms, but support can require a renewal, repurchase, or another active entitlement offered by HexCoda.

Complete support conditions are available in the Support and Updates Policy.

8. Compatibility and Backups

Each product page may describe technical requirements, tested versions, supported environments, and relevant compatibility information.

WordPress websites often use different combinations of themes, plugins, custom code, caching systems, security services, hosting environments, PHP versions, server rules, and database configurations. For this reason, HexCoda cannot guarantee universal compatibility with every possible setup.

Before installing, configuring, updating, replacing, or removing a plugin, you should maintain a current backup of:

  • Your website files
  • Your WordPress database
  • Your plugin settings
  • Any related custom code or configuration

For production websites, stores, membership platforms, or other business-critical installations, you should test product updates on a staging website before applying them to the live website.

HexCoda is not responsible for data loss, website damage, downtime, or configuration problems caused by missing backups, unsupported modifications, direct source-code changes, server restrictions, or third-party conflicts.

9. Refunds and Digital Content

Refund requests are governed by the separate Refund Policy, which forms part of the purchasing terms for HexCoda digital products.

Because HexCoda products are supplied digitally, refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Whether the digital file has been downloaded
  • Whether access to the digital content has begun
  • Whether a license key has been activated
  • The nature of the reported issue
  • Whether HexCoda has received a reasonable opportunity to investigate the issue
  • Whether the required checkout consent regarding immediate digital delivery has been provided

Consumers located in the European Union generally have a 14-day withdrawal right for distance contracts. However, the right of withdrawal for digital content may be lost after performance begins where the consumer has provided prior express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived, including statutory remedies for digital content that does not conform to the contract.

A refund does not permit continued use, redistribution, or activation of the refunded product. Where a refund is approved, the associated license, download entitlement, update access, and support access may be cancelled.

10. Free Products

HexCoda may offer selected plugins, extensions, tools, templates, documentation, or other resources free of charge.

Free products may receive maintenance, improvements, security updates, documentation, or support at HexCoda’s discretion. HexCoda does not guarantee continued development, compatibility, support, or availability for every free product.

Support for free products may be limited to public documentation, community channels, plugin-directory support forums, or other channels specified on the relevant product page.

HexCoda may release premium versions, paid upgrades, add-ons, expanded editions, commercial support plans, or replacement products related to resources that were initially offered free of charge.

11. Intellectual Property

HexCoda logos, branding, website design, product names, product interfaces, documentation, screenshots, illustrations, marketing materials, commercial graphics, and other original assets remain the property of HexCoda or their respective rights holders.

Certain software components may be distributed under open-source licenses, including the GNU General Public License, where applicable. Rights granted under such licenses remain unaffected.

Open-source licensing does not automatically grant rights to:

  • HexCoda trademarks or logos
  • Private customer accounts
  • Commercial download systems
  • License keys
  • Automatic update infrastructure
  • Customer support services
  • Premium documentation or commercial graphics
  • Misleading use of HexCoda authorship or branding

You may not claim that you created a HexCoda product, misrepresent its authorship, remove legally required copyright notices, or use HexCoda branding in a manner that creates confusion regarding ownership, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

12. Prohibited Use

You may not use HexCoda.com, a customer account, a license key, a download service, or a HexCoda product to:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations
  • Distribute malware, malicious code, or harmful files
  • Circumvent license, entitlement, activation, download, or security controls
  • Attempt unauthorized access to servers, systems, accounts, or customer information
  • Interfere with website security, performance, or availability
  • Abuse promotions, discounts, refunds, licenses, or support channels
  • Resell or redistribute paid products without permission
  • Use fraudulent payment information
  • Conduct automated scraping, extraction, or attacks against HexCoda systems
  • Impersonate HexCoda, its representatives, or another customer

HexCoda may suspend or terminate access to products, downloads, accounts, license services, updates, or support where these Terms are violated or where access creates a security, legal, or operational risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HexCoda is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from:

  • The use of or inability to use a product
  • Website downtime or service interruption
  • Third-party plugin, theme, API, or service conflicts
  • Hosting restrictions or server limitations
  • Improper installation or configuration
  • Failure to maintain backups
  • Unauthorized product modifications
  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, business opportunities, or goodwill
  • Business interruption

You remain responsible for evaluating whether a product meets your technical, operational, legal, security, and business requirements before using it on a production website.

Where liability cannot be legally excluded, HexCoda’s total liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, personal injury, mandatory consumer protections, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow HexCoda to exclude.

14. Privacy

Your use of HexCoda.com is also governed by our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Cookie Policy.

These documents explain how HexCoda collects, uses, stores, and protects information related to:

  • Customer accounts
  • Orders and payments
  • Support communications
  • License activations
  • Website usage
  • Analytics and cookies
  • Security and fraud prevention

By using the website, you acknowledge that certain information may be processed where necessary to provide products, fulfil orders, operate license services, deliver updates, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

15. Changes to These Terms

HexCoda may update these Terms when necessary to reflect:

  • Changes to products or services
  • New licensing or support arrangements
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Payment, tax, or operational changes
  • Security improvements
  • Website or customer-account changes

The current version will be published on this page together with the latest revision date.

Changes will apply from the date stated on the updated page. Changes will not retroactively remove mandatory rights or alter completed transactions where applicable law does not permit such changes.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply under the laws of the customer’s country of residence.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, the parties may use the courts or competent alternative dispute-resolution bodies available under applicable law.

Consumers residing in the European Union may also have access to national consumer-protection authorities and other legally recognised dispute-resolution mechanisms.
